Macroom Community Hospital

Refurbishment of the 38-bed single-story hospital building, including alterations to the existing elevations, repurposing and renovating the existing dental clinic building, and a new single-storey extension connecting the two buildings. In the refurbished hospital building, there will be 38 beds arranged around three courtyard gardens. This development included: -Renovation of existing floor space of 868 sq.m, the new extension of 1645 sq.m, total gross area of 2513 sq.m. In addition, a 100 sq.m dental clinic was converted into a 14-bed community hospital. 24 renovated bed spaces. New single bedrooms added in a single-storey extension, -Communal areas including recreation, sitting and dining rooms, -Ancillary areas including reception, offices, staff areas, stores, treatment rooms, sanitary facilities, and plant rooms, -Existing kitchen is retained and extended, -Existing floor area of 84 sq.m will be demolished as part of the development, -External works include a new service yard with waste compound, new fencing, and associated site work. of the art Leisure Centre, which is home to Irelands first solar powered swimming pool.

For the plant room upgrade in 2021, Tricel Pumps provided and commissioned pumps and equipment. Works included: Upgrading the heat pump management system, modifications to existing PHT controls, new connections for district heating services, and installing new pump sets and VCDs.
