Bespoke Pump Systems

Tricel provides bespoke pump systems designed around the hydraulic, control and installation requirements of each project. From preassembled pump packages and skid-mounted systems to integrated pumps and controls, our team can help develop a practical solution for commercial, industrial and water-management applications.

01

Bespoke Pump Solutions

Every project is different. Tricel develops pumping solutions around the required duty, operating conditions, control strategy and installation constraints. These are solution types, not fixed products.

Packaged Pump Sets

Preassembled Pump Solutions

FORMAT
Preassembled pump set

TYPICAL SCOPE
Pumps, valves and controls, as required

SUITED TO
Projects where on-site work should be kept to a minimum

Packaged pump sets combine the required pumps, valves, controls and supporting components into one coordinated system. Tricel assembles and tests each prepackaged set in its own facilities before delivery, reducing work on site.

Skid-Mounted Pump Systems

Integrated Pump Packages

FORMAT
Components on one frame

TYPICAL FORMAT
Pumps, vessels, valves and pressure switches, as required

SUITED TO
Systems that should arrive as a single unit

Where several components must work as one system, they can be arranged on a single skid. Tricel pressurisation units, for example, combine the pump, break tank, pressure vessel, valves and pressure switches on a skid-mounted frame.

Pump & Control Packages

Integrated Pump Control

FORMAT
Pumps with their control systems

TYPICAL SCOPE
Pump controls, monitoring and BMS interfaces, as required

SUITED TO
Systems with a defined control strategy

A pumping system is more than the pump. Tricel’s engineers specify, supply, install, service and maintain pumps and their control systems, so the control strategy is considered alongside the hydraulic requirement.

This is a strong example of project-specific pumping equipment. Grundfos documents customised dosing skids for industrial and water-treatment applications.

Custom Pumping Solutions

Project-Specific Pump Systems

FORMAT
Designed for the project

TYPICAL SCOPE
Selected around duty, liquid and space

SUITED TO
Non-standard duties

Where a standard package does not suit the application, Tricel offers customised pump solutions designed around specific operating parameters such as flow, pressure, the liquid handled, available space and operating requirements.

From Requirement to Complete Pump System

Designed Around the Duty, Not the Catalogue

A bespoke pump system starts with understanding what the installation needs to achieve. Our team reviews the required flow, head or pressure, operating conditions, control requirements and available space before identifying the pumps, controls and supporting components. Where appropriate, systems are preassembled and tested before delivery, reducing on-site assembly and simplifying commissioning.

Bespoke Pump System Applications

Commercial Buildings

Custom pumping solutions for building services where standard equipment does not fully meet the requirement.

Industrial Processes

Pump systems configured around industrial flow, pressure, control and operating requirements.

Water Supply & Transfer

Systems for moving water between storage, treatment and distribution points.

Water Treatment

Pumping packages for suitable water-treatment and process applications.

HVAC & Building Services

Pumping solutions for heating, cooling and building-services applications.

Wastewater & Drainage

Packaged pumping stations where gravity drainage is not possible, and other project-specific arrangements.

03

Designing the Right Bespoke Pump System

Every bespoke system starts with understanding the application and its operating requirements.

Factor
What we need to know
Flow
What volume of liquid must the system move?
Head / pressure
What pressure or total system head must the pumps overcome?
Liquid
What liquid is being handled, and are specific materials required?
Operating profile
Will the system run continuously, intermittently or at varying demand?
Controls
What level of automatic control, monitoring or system integration is required?
Redundancy
Is standby capacity or additional resilience required?
Installation space
What footprint, access and pipework constraints exist?
Environment
Will the equipment operate indoors, outdoors or under specific site conditions?

04

From Specification to Commissioning

The main differences are the number of pumps, the level of control and the type of application. Use this as a starting point before final selection.

01

Understand

Review the application, required duty, operating conditions and project constraints, on site where needed.

02

SPECIFY

Select suitable pumps, controls and supporting components around the required performance.

03

ASSEMBLE & TEST

Where appropriate, packaged sets are assembled and tested in Tricel’s facilities before delivery.

04

INSTALL & COMMISSION

Installation and commissioning support so the system is set up correctly for operation.

Built Around the Right Components

Bespoke systems let pumps, controls and associated equipment be selected around the project, rather than forcing the application around a standard package. Tricel is a Premier Authorised Distributor for Grundfos and selects equipment for the required operating conditions.

Support Beyond Pump Supply

Where an existing installation or site conditions need to be assessed, Tricel provides technical support throughout the project.

Site surveys

Our team visits site to assess the installation and specify the pump-system requirements.

Installation & Commissioning

Supply, installation and commissioning so the system is set up correctly from day one.

Service & Maintenance

Preventative maintenance contracts, repairs and emergency call-outs. Pump service and maintenance

frequently asked questions

What is a bespoke pump system?

A bespoke pump system is designed around the specific hydraulic, control and installation requirements of a project, rather than selected as a completely standard off-the-shelf package.

Typically the required flow, pressure or head, the liquid being pumped, operating conditions, control requirements, available installation space and any redundancy requirements.

Yes, where it suits the project. Tricel assembles and tests prepackaged pump sets in its own facilities before delivery, which reduces installation work on site.

Yes. Tricel supplies, installs and commissions pump systems, and offers site surveys, preventative maintenance contracts and repairs, either as a complete package or as an add-on after supply.

Bespoke Pump Systems in Ireland

Tricel provides bespoke pump systems in Ireland for commercial, industrial and water-management projects, from packaged pump systems to engineered pump systems built around a specific duty.

From initial specification through component selection, packaged assembly, installation and commissioning, our team develops custom pump systems and custom pump packages around the operating requirements of each project. Where a skid mounted pump system suits the site, as with Tricel pressurisation units, the equipment can be assembled on a common frame. Tricel’s work on custom pumping systems in Ireland includes booster sets sized on site for Fermoy Primary Care Centre and custom pressurisation units for Apple in Cork.

Whether the requirement is a straightforward preassembled pump set or a more complex pump and control package, talk to Tricel about bespoke pumping solutions for your application. For standard ranges, see pressure boosting sets and dosing pumps.
