Our sectional GRP tank panels, available in 1000 mm x 1000 mm or 1000 mm x 500 mm sizes, allow for a modular construction approach that significantly enhances tank rigidity. The panel thickness and weight vary based on the tank’s height, with thicker bottom row panels added for increased support in taller water tanks Ireland needs for durability and reliability.
Tricel’s insulated Format 30 GRP water storage tank is specifically designed for potable water, incorporating a heavy-duty cover, screened air vents, overflow systems, and warning pipes for added functionality. All roof and sidewall panels are insulated with encapsulated CFC-free polyurethane foam, meeting the requirements of Section 30 of the water byelaws. For extreme temperatures, our GRP tanks’ base panels can also be insulated to maintain consistent water quality.

Our GRP sectional storage water tanks are typically insulated to Format 30 for potable water, while non-insulated options are available for non-potable water or greywater.

Manufacturing domestic/ one piece GRP tank

Our one-piece GRP tanks come insulated to Format 30 and are again factory insulated with CFC-free foam on all sides. All one-piece tanks have screened inlets and overflows. Our one-piece tanks range in sizes from 45 to 6,000 litres (10 – 1,320 gallons) nominal capacity.
Tricel manufactures condensation trays to suit all sizes of water storage tanks. You should use condensation trays or drip trays in any instance where condensation drips from pipework or the tank. GRP Tanks that you install indoors without a condensation tray could cause nuisance through damage or render floors wet and slippery.

TYPES OF SECTIONAL TANKS:
EXTERNALLY FLANGED BASE TANKS
Designed for positioning on elevated supports to allow access for joints and connections below the tank.
INTERNALLY FLANGED BASE TANKS
These tanks are designed and manufactured for standing on a flat foundation or levelled steel beams as per our foundation requirements. Appropriate for site projects where height or headroom is restricted.
INTERNALLY FLANGED (I.F) TANKS
Manufactured & designed for your exact site requirements, giving you the opportunity to utilise the limited plant room space.
TRUE TOTALLY INTERNALLY FLANGED TANKS (TRUE TIFF)
This tank design enables the tank to be positioned and assembled against 3 walls or in restricted areas where space is not available on the external perimeter of the tank
